What the Bundeswehr says about our cooperation ...

"We are pleased that our fire department will now soon receive these special vehicles and that we will have met the requirements to resume our full operations," said Frank Dosquet, director of the Defense Technology Center for Weapons and Ammunition (WTD 91).
After the moor fire in 2018, the German Ministry of Defense had prohibited tests in the moor until several activities were implemented. One of them is to increase the number of special firefighting vehicles for the moor to a total of four vehicles.

"Fire protection and the safety of the population are our top priorities," Dosquet said. "At the same time, we have a high volume of orders, so we desperately need our entire firing range."
It took more than two years to find a suitable manufacturer that met the high requirements. "The vehicle must only have a very, very low ground pressure in order to be able to drive in the moor at all. At the same time, it must be able to transport material and firefighting water quickly," says WTD Director Dosquet. The two firefighting caterpillars already in service with the Meppen fire department are based on snowcats like those used for skiing. The new vehicles, on the other hand, are based on a Singaporean military vehicle suitable for the most difficult operations in swampy terrain. The vehicles are scheduled to be ready and put into service in Meppen next year."
